Fantasy Football Studs and Duds | Week 2

What’s going on everybody, your boy TK back with my first edition of Studs and Duds of 2023. We had some crazy scoring performances in Week 2 and some head-scratching ones. Yeah TLaw, I’m looking at you. Jets coaching staff, I’m looking at you! 4 touches for Breece, really?! Kyle Pitts and George Kittle, come on man! But again, there was plenty of good. QBs went crazy! Puka Nacua made history. Keenan Allen and Mike Evans turned back the clock. And so much more. Let’s get into it!

QB

Studs

QBs ran wild this week! We saw 17 starting QBs over 20 points and rookie sensation Anthony Richardson was on his way before he went out with an injury early in the Colts and Texans game. But it was Russell Wilson, Kirk Cousins, and Danny Dimes taking home the top 3 spots this week, all scoring over 36 points.

Russell Wilson – 38.9 pts
Kirk Cousins – 38.6 pts
Daniel Jones – 36.7 pts
Jalen Hurts – 32.2 pts
Josh Allen – 30.7 pts
Jared Goff – 29.9 pts

Then we had Lamar Jackson, Patrick Mahomes, and Geno Smith all go over 27 points while Jordan Love, Desmond Ridder, Ryan Tannehill, Sam Howell, Dak Prescott, and CJ Stroud all scored 23+ points.

Special shout out to Joshua Dobbs who lit the Giants defense up for 27.2 points.

Duds

Justin Fields – 16.7 pts
Brock Purdy – 13.7 pts
Tua Tagovailoa – 13.3 pts

Fields, Purdy, and Tua didn’t light up the scoreboard this week but there was one guy who takes the Dud of the Week. Trevor Lawrence. 8.24 points. Woof.

RB

Studs

The running back position is always a wild one and this week’s leaderboard shows that. At the top of the leaderboard, we see Brian Robinson, D’Andre Swift, Kyren Williams, and Raheem Mostert as the top 4 backs…who saw that coming? Then we got into the usual suspects with Saquan, CMC, and Bijan, who will likely be on this list weekly moving forward.

Brian Robinson – 28.9 pts
D’Andre Swift – 28.1 pts
Kyren Williams – 28 pts
Raheem Mostert – 27.7 pts
Saquan Barkley – 27.2 pts
Christian McCaffrey – 23.5 pts
Bijan Robinson – 21.2
Rachaad White – 21.2 pts
Zach Moss – 20.7 pts
James Cook and Tony Pollard – 19.9 pts
Derrick Henry and Kenneth Walker – 18.5 pts

Duds

For running backs, I typically will say a single-point game is a Dud game. Which is why Jacobs is on the list with 9.9 points. Josuha Kelly finds himself on the list because he was projected to do so much more filling in for Austin Ekeler. He did not. Same can be said for AJ Dillon. Dameon Pierce continues to struggle with back-to-back single-digit games. And Breece Hall got 4 touches this weekend. 4. Brutal.

Josh Jacobs – 9.9 pts
Javonte Williams – 7.8 pts
AJ Dillon – 7.3 pts
Travis Etienne – 6.2 pts
Dameon Pierce – 5.5 pts
Tyler Allgeier – 4.8 pts
Alexander Mattison – 3.9 pts
Joshua Kelly – 3.9 pts
Breece Hall – .9 pts

WR

This week we saw a blend of the crusty vets and young studs show out. We saw Puka Nacua dominate for the second straight week. We saw Keenan Allen, Mike Evans, and Tyler Lockett remind people who they are and we saw Tee Higgins, DeVonta Smith, and Nico Collins shine. And of course, we found some usual suspects on this list as CeeDee Lamb and JJ had nice games this week.

Keenan Allen – 32.1 pts
Puka Nacua – 30.1 pts
Mike Evans – 30.1 pts
Tee Higgins – 28.9 pts
Nico Collins – 27.6 pts
DeVonta Smith – 27.1 pts
Tyler Lockett – 25.1 pts
CeeDee Lamb – 24.3 pts
Marvin Mims – 24.3 pts
Justin Jefferson – 23.9 pts
Josh Reynolds – 23.6 pts
Brandon Johnson – 23.6 pts
Christian Kirk – 23 pts
Gabe Davis – 22.2 pts
Deebo Samuel – 21.1 pts
Davante Adams – 20.4 pts
Tank Dell 20.2 pts

Duds

Same rules apply to wide receivers that apply to running backs. If you are starting or flex-worthy and put up a single-digit week then you will make this list. This week we saw a couple of legit stars on this list. No wonder why AJ Brown was yelling on the sidelines at Jalen Hurts. You got Hurts, Swift, and Smith on the Stud list and AJ Brown finds himself on the Dud list. Makes sense. The man wants the ball! We also find Ja’Marr Chase on the Dud list. Like Brown, Chase’s teammate Tee Higgins is on the Stud list while Chase finds himself on the Dud list. The rest of the list was light this week. DeAndre Hopkins and Jerry Jeudy were Questionable but played and found limited results. And the roles were reversed in Jacksonville this week as Christian Kirk shined and Calvin Ridley went from Stud last week to Dud this week.

Ja’Marr Chase – 8.1 pts
DeAndre Hopkins – 8 pts
AJ Brown – 6.9 pts
Jerry Jeudy – 5.5 pts
Jahan Dotson – 5.2 pts
Calvin Ridley – 5.2 pts
Rashod Bateman – 4.8 pts (why is he even on this list?)

TE

I want to preface this and say the scoring format for tight ends is 1.5 points per reception. So the numbers are a bit higher here than they would be in your PPR leagues. This week we saw TJ Hockenson light it up on Thursday Night Football leading the way this week for tight ends. Mark Andrews and Travis Kelce both were back on the field this week after missing last week and played well in their returns. We also saw Evan Engram put up top 10 numbers as he consistently did last season. Quietly sitting as the third-ranked tight end. And Darren Waller is making his impact felt on the Giants offense as he went over 16 points and is sitting as the fourth-ranked tight end.

Studs

TJ Hockenson – 29.1 pts
Hunter Henry – 20.2 pts
Mark Andrews – 18 pts
Darren Waller – 16.6 pts
Evan Engram – 14.7 pts
Travis Kelce – 14.6 pts
Zach Ertz – 14.6 pts
Sam LaPorta – 13.8 pts
Cade Otton – 13.1 pts
Tyler Conklin – 12.5

Then we saw 9 more tight ends all score double-digit points. Kylen Granson, Dalton Kincaid, Jake Ferguson, Noah Fant, Dawson Knox, Logan Thomas, Dallas Goedert, Mike Gesicki, and Jonnu Smith. Some decent waiver wire names if you are in a pickle. Particularly Jake Ferguson. Dak likes him.

Duds

It’s hard to be a Dud at the tight end position because I just expect so little out of it. This week Kyle Pitts finds himself the Dud of the Week again. It was a close call between Pitts and George Kittle but Pitts edges Kittle out this week. Kittle, however, found himself in single digits for the second straight week. Absolutely brutal.

George Kittle – 7.5 pts
Tyler Higbee – 5.7 pts
Luke Musgrave – 5.5 pts
Kyle Pitts – 4.5 pts

That’s it for now. Be sure to tune in to Roto Slappers on Monday Nights for more content like this.

5 Potential Matches for CM Punk at Wrestlemania 39

I just want to preface this by saying that I absolutely do not see CM Punk wrestling at Wrestlemania, but hey what the hell let’s have some fun. With CM Punk and AEW’s relationship in disarray and a potential buyout looming why not talk about some potential matches, he could have upon his return? And if he’s returning let’s just say it will be on the grandest stage of them all, at Wrestlemania. There are a bunch of fun matches that came to mind for Punk both in the ring and on the mic feuds that would be gold, but for the purpose of this exercise, I am going to stick to 5 potential matches. Let’s get into it.

5.) Kevin Owens

This story writes itself. Two of the best mic workers in the industry. I would actually fear for a returning CM Punk if he had to go one-on-one with KO on the mic. I think the story is there for KO to really dig into him. He walked away, and when he came back it was elsewhere, couldn’t cut it there, ran back here, he (KO) got to do what Punk walked away for (main eventing Wrestlemania), and he got to do it against Stone Cold. The back-and-forth would be fantastic. It would also be a nice opportunity for Punk to be humble, take it all in, and ultimately get the win in his return match. KO would be the perfect opponent and I’d have him higher on this list but I want to see KO & Sami Zayn beat the Usos for the Tag Team Titles at Mania this year.

4.) AJ Styles

Arguably two of the top 25 wrestlers to ever do it. Their paths haven’t crossed in a long time. And they don’t particularly like each other in real life. All the ingredients for a nice feud. Punk and Styles could be a great show opener on Night 1 or Night 2 of Mania.

3.) Roman Reigns

CM Punk shows up and wins the Royal Rumble. Comes out on Raw and calls out the Tribal Chief. Ok, this one sounds like the most far-fetched of the matches so far. Do I think this could be fun, absolutely. Do I think this is likely? No. If Punk were to actually come back to the WWE I don’t anticipate them putting him into a title match with the biggest star in the World. However, if it were to happen, the story is there. Punk is a huge name that Reigns could to add to his list of victims. I think Punk would have to prove himself again before getting in there with Reigns.

2.) Seth Rollins

Here it is. This is the most likely match for me. If Punk were to “prove it” it would start with Rollins. The workhorse of the WWE. Seth Rollins against the former Best in the World CM Punk. Sign me up. The back-and-forth on the mic between these two would be great. Not as good as KO but that might be better for Punk. This would be the best all-around program for him. As I mentioned, the promo segments would be fun but Rollins could make a broomstick look good in the ring so for a returning Punk, Rollins would be the best dance partner. So many similarities between the ropes for these two. For a while, Seth reminded me of Punk.

1.) Stone Cold Steve Austin

Again, none of this is likely to happen so why not have the most unlikely match in the top spot?!?! A match that we never thought was possible is all of a sudden possible. As we know Stone Cold came out of retirement last year. Punk may be available. Wrestlemania Hollywood. Night 1. Main Event. What?! You were doing it. I know you were. This would be awesome. Sure a few years too late but fuck it let’s do it. Have a couple of Raw interactions that lead to a Wrestlemania main event. Austin of course gets the win but Punk gets his Mania main event after 9 years away. Ohhhhh Hell Yeah!

Top 30 Wrestlers in the World | 2022

Who doesn’t love a good list? And what better way to put together a good list than to get a good sample size? So that’s what I did. Over the past two months, I have polled members of our podcasting community and other wrestling fans for their top 30 wrestlers in the world. I asked for this list to be a non-biased list of the best wrestlers in the world and not their favorite wrestlers. As far as what “best” wrestler means, that is subjective. To me, the best wrestlers can go in the ring, they’re good on the stick, and they are consistently great in their characters. Again, it’s all subjective. Let’s get into the list. I assembled the list by polling 15 total people. Those 15 people ranked their top 30 wrestlers in the world. From there I added up the total points. The lower the score the better.

AEW Power Rankings – Week of 6/14/23

HE’S BACKKKKKKKKK!!! But we’ll get to that in a minute. What a week of AEW!! Dynamite was incredible from start to finish, Rampage was a fun show, and we got the debut of AEW Collision, which was incredible!

Let’s start with Dynamite. MJF & Adam Cole put on a wrestling clinic as they wrestled to a 30-minute draw to start Dynamite. MJF showed once again why he’s a 5 tool player and a great wrestler. They grappled, chain wrestled, and beat the hell out of each other, MJF even hit an elbow drop from the top rope to the outside on Adam Cole through a table. He was pulling out all the stops. The match ended right as Cole was going to defeat MJF and the bell rang pushing the match to a draw. Loved the match and loved the ending.

We had a fun exchange between Sammy Guevara and Chris Jericho. (Last week I added Sammy to the JAS. I went ahead and put him back by himself). That led to a cool face-off between Jericho and Sting. We got a really fun 8-man tag between Mogul Embassy and Sting, Darby Allin, Keith Lee, and Orange Cassidy.

Skye Blue looked great in defeat against Toni Storm. But she would get that victory back over Storm as she teamed with Willow Nightingale to defeat the Outcast’s Toni Storm and Ruby Soho. That was also a fun match. It was the week of Skye Blue and for that, she found herself in the power rankings for the first time.

The main event of Dynamite was fun on many levels. The match itself was cool. The Hung Bucks got a huge win in their first match teaming together as a trio. But it was after the match that made this awesome. It was pure chaos. Eddie Kingston, Konosuke Takeshita, Kenny Omega, and Will Ospreay all got involved and took one another out. We saw Eddie and Jon Moxley almost throw down. It was just a lot of fun.

Moving over to Collision, which I was lucky enough to be at. My wife, buddies, and I had a blast. The show felt fresh and different. But different in a good way. It was great to see Miro and Andrade back. Both got huge pops. Andrade and Buddy Matthews put on a gem. The House of Black attacked Andrade after the match. I’d imagine that’s going to lead to LFI vs HOB and that is going to be awesome. But if you didn’t catch this match go out of your way to see it. Andrade and Buddy put on magic in the ring. We got a Scorpio Sky video package. Great to see him back.

And the TNT Championship hot potato continues as we got a NEW TNT Champion! Luchasaurus defeated Wardlow with the help of Christian. Christian held the belt above his head after the match as if he was the Champion.

And of course, we got the return of CM Punk. Punk cut a scathing promo on his haters. He carried a bag around with what I presume is his AEW Championship and said he never lost it and somebody is going to have to take it from him. In the main event, Punk teamed with FTR to defeat Samoa Joe and Bullet Club Black and Gold’s Jay White and Juice Robinson. The match was fun. Dax is just the man. Getting to watch Dax wrestle 20 feet from me was a pleasure. That man loves professional wrestling. The night ended with CMFTR going over and putting a stamp on a fantastic week.

AEW Power Rankings – (6/7/23)

Hey, what’s going on everybody, your boy TK is back with my latest AEW Power Rankings. This week I decided to switch it from a Top 20 to a Top 15. I would imagine after Collision this week that this list will go back to a Top 20 but for now, I’m going to settle with Top 15 and see how it plays out going forward. Now that we’re over that let’s talk about the list.

Orange Cassidy retains his top spot after defending his AEW International Championship against Swerve Strickland in a fun opener on Dynamite. MJF moved up two spots after an absolutely incredible promo battle with Adam Cole. And Adam Cole also moves up a spot and into the Top 5 for the first time for that same promo battle. Just an awesome segment on Dynamite, that I suggest you go back and watch if you missed it.

Kris Statlander continues to climb the list after another successful title defense. This time against Anna J.A.S. in a very solid match. Speaking of the JAS, I finally pulled the trigger and added Sammy Guevara to the group, which is why he is no longer listed below.

FTR and House of Black weren’t on TV this week so they both moved down a spot respectively.

On the flip side, we saw some risers. Jack Perry jumped back up to 11 after his tag team win with Hook over LFI. Swerve moved up a spot even after a loss to Orange Cassidy after a great match, and the Bullet Club Black & Gold’s Jay White and Juice Robinson find themselves in the power rankings for the first time.

If you need to freshen up on what happened on AEW Dynamite this week you can get the full breakdown on my latest AEW Dynamite Review show below!

AEW Power Rankings – End of May

Hey, what’s going on everybody, your boy TK is back after a couple of weeks with my latest AEW Power Rankings. This week was the week that I finally pulled the trigger and moved MJF out of the top spot. While I understand he just had a fantastic match at Double or Nothing, he missed TV this week and I don’t see a program starting for him in the foreseeable future. Therefore, I finally did it and moved MJF out of the top spot. And who has earned that top spot? Orange Cassidy. The workhorse of AEW. For weeks I wanted to make this move but couldn’t because Max was around. I think he goes away for a bit now. And who continues to carry the weight? Orange Cassidy.

In addition to Orange Cassidy, the stables continue to do their thing. Both the Outcasts and the BCC continue to dominate AEW TV. As far as the Outcasts go, Toni Storm is the new AEW Women’s Champion and Saraya just main evented Dynamite. While the BCC won in the main event of Double or Nothing and the opening match of Dynamite.

Elsewhere, Kris Statlander finds herself in the power rankings for the first time after returning to win the AEW TBS Championship. Swerve Strickland is back in the power rankings after a great showing at Double or Nothing and on Dynamite. And the Lucha Bros are back in the power rankings after consistent performances week in and week out.

And it’s all about the BOOM lately, as Adam Cole continues to move up the power rankings as he moved all the way up to number 6.

Let’s get into it.

AEW Power Rankings – Week of 5/17/23

Hey, what’s going on everybody, your boy TK here with my latest weekly AEW Power Rankings. This week we didn’t see too much of a shakeup in the power rankings. Just as last week, I wanted to move MJF out of the top spot but I just couldn’t pull the trigger. Even in small bits, he’s there weekly. However, it was hard for me to keep Orange Cassidy out of that top spot. That man is the workhorse for AEW.

On the flip side, Jamie Hayter and the House of Black continue to fall down the list. It’s crazy to think that for week’s Jamie was atop the list with HOB not far behind her and now Jamie is down to 7 while the HOB is down to 12.

If you need a recap of AEW Dynamite you can catch the replay of my AEW Dynamite Review Show below.

Let’s get into the power rankings!

AEW Power Rankings – Week of 5/10/23

Hey, what’s going on everybody, your boy TK here with my latest weekly AEW Power Rankings. I missed last week’s power rankings so this week’s weekly points are from AEW Dynamite on 5/3 to AEW Rampage on 5/13. The top two spots remained the same, with MJF holding down the top spot and Orange Cassidy following. It’s so hard for me not to put Orange in the top spot. He has been on fire, and MJF took the loss in the tag team match with Sammy Guevara against Darby Allin and Jack Perry. But, MJF is the World Champion and has been on TV weekly so for that I will keep him in his spot.

The BCC move up to number 3 after Jon Moxley’s win over Kenny Omega on the 5/10 edition of Dynamite. Jamie Hayter moved down to 4 as she only appeared briefly on TV over the past two weeks. Hayter’s running mate Britt Baker found herself in the power rankings for the first time. Britt’s involved in the feud with the Outcasts and the Adam Cole/Chris Jericho program at the same time so for that she finally got into the power rankings.

Bandido also found himself in the power rankings for the first time. Bandido teamed with Adam Cole, Orange Cassidy, and Roderick Strong to take on the Jericho Appreciation Society and the following Dynamite teamed with the Best Friends against the House of Black. That’s right! The House of Black is back. After weeks of sliding down the rankings (after being as high as number 2) the House finally returned and defeated Bandido and crew, stopping their slide in the process.

The Jericho Appreciation Society had a good couple of weeks. They didn’t win a match but they found themselves on TV in a few matches and of course, Chris Jericho got his TV time. Danny Garcia and Orange Cassidy had a banger on the 5/10 edition of Dynamite. Check that out the highlights if you missed it here.

Elsewhere, we had a small shakeup within the 4 pillars from 8-10. FTR fell 4 spots after a pretty lackluster couple of weeks. TBS Champion Jade Cargill also fell a couple of spots after a lackluster couple of weeks.

Let’s get into the power rankings!

Disclaimer: I will loosely use my point system to dictate the power rankings. The total points listed are since Revolution. (If you missed last week’s Power Rankings you can find them here).

WWE Power Rankings (5/8/23)

Hey, what’s going on everybody, your boy TK here with my latest weekly WWE Power Rankings. I missed last week’s power rankings so this week’s weekly points are from WWE Raw on 4/24 to WWE Backlash. We saw some movement in the power rankings this week as Rhea Ripley moves back to the top spot after her victory over Zelina Vega at Backlash. Cody Rhodes moves up 7 spots to the 7th spot after defeating Brock Lesnar at Backlash. And Damage Ctrl and Zelina Vega enter the power rankings after their impressive couple of weeks.

Rey Mysterio and the LWO were combined together.

Roman Reigns was taken out of the power rankings and given his own spot. With him not being on TV weekly it’s tough to move him up and down. But let’s be honest, he deserves the top spot. So I’ll just go ahead and leave him in the Tribal Chief spot and we will go from there.

I’m excited to see where WWE is going to go from here post-draft. Keep it here weekly for more!

AEW Power Rankings – Week of 4/26/23

Hey, what’s going on everybody, your boy TK here with my latest weekly AEW Power Rankings. Fun episode of Dynamite this week. If you missed it you can catch up by listening to my AEW recap and reaction show here.

This week’s standout was once again Orange Cassidy as he successfully defended his International Championship against Bandido and then returned to the ring later in the night with Bandido to save Adam Cole from a beat down from the JAS. However, that wasn’t enough to move into the top spot, as for the first time the power rankings sees a new number one. And that number one is the AEW World Champion himself, MJF. MJF has been all over Dynamite the past few weeks with the 4 Pillar story. This week was no different. Multiple segments revolved around him and for that, he takes the top spot in the power rankings.

Let’s get into the power rankings!

AEW Power Rankings – Week of 4/19/23

Hey, what’s going on everybody, your boy TK here with my latest weekly AEW Power Rankings. Really solid episode of Dynamite this week. If you missed it you can catch up by listening to my AEW recap and reaction show here.

Anyway, as I was saying, fun show this week. The show started and ended with the 4-Pillar World Title story. In between we saw a NEW TNT Champion crowned when Wardlow defeated Powerhouse Hobbs. Also, Jamie Hayter and Britt Baker defeated the Outcasts. However, it was the Outcasts getting the last laugh on the DMD during Chris Jericho and Adam Cole’s faceoff. The BCC had another good week, throwing down with the Elite on Dynamite and Jon Moxley getting a win on Rampage. I can’t wait for that BCC and Elite match. Konosuke Takeshita got involved and helped the Elite clear the ring of the BCC, so it will be interesting to see where they go from here.

WWE Power Rankings (4/17 – 4/23)

Hey, what’s going on everybody, your boy TK here with my latest weekly WWE Power Rankings. This week was once again based mainly on two stories, the Bloodline taking on Kevin Owens, Sami Zayn, and Matt Riddle and the other being The Judgement Day against Rey Mysterio and the LWO. The Judgement Day was the MVP of the Week. They started the show on Raw, ended the show on Raw, and started Smackdown. They were all over the place this week. The Usos, Solo Sikoa, Matt Riddle, Rey Mysterio, and the LWO appeared on both shows as well. For that, the LWO made its way into the power rankings for the first time. And the WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez continue to move up the list, after appearing on both shows and a successful title defense over Chelsea Green and Sonya Deville.

AEW Power Rankings (4/12 – 4/16)

Hey, what’s going on everybody, your boy TK here with my latest weekly AEW Power Rankings. Really fun episode of AEW this week! And, it was even better because I was there in Milwaukee for Dynamite and Rampage. Dynamite was really solid this week. Orange Cassidy and Buddy Matthews put on a great match as Orange Cassidy continues his dominant run as International Champion.

Powerhouse Hobbs and Wardlow continued their rivalry after Wardlow made his return, setting up a match for the TNT Championship next week. The BCC decimated the Elite stooges which led to the Young Bucks making their return (they ran right by us on the way to the ring, super cool). The Bucks and Kenny Omega took it to the BCC showing a new vicious streak. Even breaking out a screwdriver at one point.

The Outcasts continued doing what they do as they beat Skye Blue and Riho and then beat them down post-match. Jamie Hayter and Britt Baker made the save after the match, setting up a tag match next week of Jamie Hayter and Britt Baker taking on Toni Storm and Ruby Soho. That should be fun.

In the main event, we saw Chris Jericho defeat Keith Lee after Swerve got involved and cost Lee the match. After the match, Adam Cole came out and helped Lee to the back. The main event wasn’t the only time we saw Swerve this week as he opened the show in a great match against Darby Allin. Darby got the win and after it was his turn to have a promo-off with MJF. Darby killed it. One of the better Darby promos. During the segment, Sting came out and had an exchange with MJF. It was a really fun segment. This whole thing amassed 32 minutes of TV time. Great showing for Darby.

On Rampage Aussie Open retained their IWGP Heavyweight Championships against the Best Friends. Taya Valkyrie defeated Emi Sakura and then was laid out by Jade Cargill. Jungle Boy Jack Perry was featured in the main event defeating a returning Shawn Spears.

Overall, really fun week of AEW, and being there made it even better.

WWE Power Rankings (4/10 – 4/16)

Hey, what’s going on everybody, your boy TK here with my latest weekly WWE Power Rankings. Very solid week of WWE television this week. Even with Raw being down half the roster they still put on a fun show, Bobby Lashley and Bronson Reed was a hoss fight! The Usos and Alpha Academy put on a fun match. And it was great to see Iyo Sky do her solo thing!

Smackdown was very enjoyable as well, with some good in-ring matches between Xavier Woods and LA Knight and Damian Priest and Santos Escobar. Shinsuke Nakamura is back! That is exciting. And in the process of Nakamura returning Madcap Moss turned heel. I’m intrigued to see where that goes. Speaking of turning heel, over on Raw, Trish Stratus turned her back on Becky Lynch after Trish (filling in for Lita) and Becky lost the Women’s Tag Team Championships to Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez. As you can see below, with that win Liv and Raquel move into the power rankings. I hope to see them stay. Huge win for Liv and Raquel, but especially for Liv, as she got the pin on Trish.

However, this week was once again built around two stories. The Bloodline and their battle with Kevin Owens, Sami Zayn, and Matt Riddle and Dominik vs Rey Mysterio. Both stories made it onto both shows once again. With the Bloodline vs KO, Sami, and Riddle story main eventing Raw, starting Smackdown, and main eventing Smackdown.

But the MVP of this week was Solo Sikoa. Everything was built around Solo. Solo defeated Kevin Owens in the main event of Raw and defeated Matt Riddle in the main event of Smackdown. For his incredible week Solo moved all the way up to number 6 in the power rankings.

NXT Power Rankings (Week of 4/11/23)

Hey, what’s going on everybody, your boy TK here with my latest weekly NXT Power Rankings. Fun episode of NXT this week. The show started with Carmelo Hayes in the ring talking about Bron Breakker and the Fatal 4-Way number one contender’s match. He was met in the ring by Dragon Lee who was followed by JD McDonagh and Grayson Waller. In the main event, in that number one contender’s match, it was Grayson Waller getting the victory over Dragon Lee, JD McDonagh, and Duke Hudson earning a shot at Melo’s NXT Championship.

In other action, we saw Isla Dawn and Alba Fyre successfully defend their NXT Women’s Championships against Fallon Henley and Kiana James. Tiffany Stratton defeated Sol Ruca. Cora Jade was confronted by Lyra Valkyria during a promo and Zoey Stark attacked Roxanne Perez backstage. Joe Coffey made his in-ring return. In a post-match scrum Gallus, the Creeds, and Schism brawled. Ilya Dragunov got a win over Von Wagner and Dijak showed up after the match to confront him. Bron Breakker destroyed Chase U during the MVP celebration ceremony. And Eddy Thorpe continues to impress on NXT picking up a victory.

NXT Power Rankings – (Week of 4/4/23)

Hey, what’s going on everybody, your boy TK here with my first official weekly NXT Power Rankings. You can catch the first edition of my NXT power rankings (post-Stand & Deliver) here. A couple of quick housekeeping notes. I put the stables together. With Joe Coffey’s return, I have put the Gallus trio as one and I did the same for Chase U (Andre Chase, Thea Hail, & Duke Hudson). It just makes sense. For the most part, they are on screen at the same time, let’s just put them together. Also, the points. I will loosely use my point system to dictate the power rankings. The total points listed are since NXT Stand & Deliver.

This week on NXT we saw two title matches including Indi Hartwell defeating Zoey Stark to retain her NXT Women’s Championship and Wes Lee defeating Axiom to retain his NXT North American Championship.

We also saw Bron Breakker lay out Carmelo Hayes during the main event segment of the episode. That will be a fun story to keep an eye on moving forward. I think Bron is about to add another dimension to his character, while at the same time, Melo is going to shine with the crowd 100 percent behind him (as if it wasn’t already).

Cora Jade is back and she is absolutely getting a spot in the power rankings! We have been waiting for it and we got it. After the NXT Women’s Championship match, Tiffany Stratton came on stage and made it known she wants her crack at Indi and the gold, but while that was going on Cora returned and took out Indi. The NXT women’s division is locked and loaded right now.

First-timers into the power rankings this week include Cora Jade, Chase U, Dragon Lee, & Pretty Deadly. Dragon Lee had a great showing in the NXT North American Title match at Stand & Deliver and then defeated Nathan Frazier on NXT this week. Pretty Deadly was all over the place hosting Stand & Deliver and defeated Tony D & Stacks on NXT this week.

Let’s get into the power rankings.

WWE Power Rankings (4/3 – 4/9)

Hey, what’s going on everybody, your boy TK here with my first official weekly WWE Power Rankings. You can catch the first edition (post-Wrestlemania) of my power rankings here. A couple of quick housekeeping notes. I put the stables together. I have Imperium, Brawling Brutes, and The Judgement Day together. It just makes sense. For the most part, they are on screen at the same time, let’s just put them together. Also, the points. I will loosely use my point system to dictate the power rankings. The total points listed are since Wrestlemania 39.

This past week we saw some shakeup in the power rankings. Rhea Ripley moved up to the top spot this week. After a great match with Charlotte Flair at Wrestlemania, Rhea confronted Bianca Belair on Raw and made her presence felt on Smackdown. So for her two show showing and her performance at Wrestlemania, Rhea Ripley now holds a firm grip on the top spot.

Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn also moved up a few spots after a good week. KO and Sami were on both Raw and Smackdown this week. On Raw, they defeated the Street Profits and on Smackdown they continued the story with the Usos, as Sami took on Jey Uso in the main event. Jey defeated Sami and put a beat down on him after the match with Solo Sikoa. Speaking of Solo, he had a big week. Solo was all over Raw and Smackdown this week. Solo showed up with Roman Reigns to start Raw, was supposed to be in the Raw main event before Brock went Brock (we’ll talk about that), and then ended the week in the main event of Smackdown beating down Sami Zayn. All this got Solo into the power rankings.

As I said, we would talk about Brock Lesnar. Brock had a monster week. Started Raw by saying he would be Cody Rhodes’ tag team partner against Roman Reigns and Solo Sikoa. Then when it came time for that he absolutely decimated Cody. We will likely get Brock vs Cody at Wrestlemania Backlash. That match should be a banger!

Let’s get into this week’s WWE power rankings.

AEW Power Rankings (4/5 – 4/9)

Hey what’s going on everyone, your boy TK here, and I’m starting a new Power Rankings series here where I power rank WWE, NXT, & AEW weekly. I will use a points system (loosely) that I set up (maybe one day I will let you in on that) to help me determine the weekly power rankings. To start AEW’s power rankings, I went back to Revolution and used my system to determine each wrestler’s total points. I included Revolution and every Dynamite and Rampage from Revolution up until the April 5th Dynamite.

In addition to adding up the total points, I gave each Champion extra points. I gave Jamie Hayter & MJF an extra 100 points, while House of Black, Powerhouse Hobbs, Orange Cassidy, FTR, & Jade Cargill got an extra 50 points. Going forward I will try to strictly base the power rankings on my point system, but again as this was the first set of rankings, it had to be set up properly. Also, I have included the BCC and Outcasts as one for a couple of reasons. First, selfishly, to have more space to rank others, and secondly because wrestling wise it made sense. The BCC is finally all one and will be running as a pack for the foreseeable future, while the Outcasts are doing the same thing on the women’s side of things.

Looking at the list below, a couple of things stand out to me. First of all, the House of Black has finally been booked properly and that is beautiful to see. If MJF hadn’t been given that extra 100 points, he would be much lower on this list than a world champion should be. And Wardlow. Damn. Tony, come on man. Book this man. Wins the TNT Championship. Loses the TNT Championship. Gone. Rough. This is why even with 130 points he’s not in my power rankings. The man does nothing. Going forward you will see a list with the weekly scores from my point system and then a total list with my overall top 20 AEW power rankings. Let’s get into it!

Hey what’s going on everyone, your boy TK here, and I’m starting a new Power Rankings series where I power rank WWE, NXT, & AEW weekly. I will use a points system (loosely) that I set up (maybe one day I will let you in on that) but to start I had to give Grayson Waller his respect and a spot in the top 10 based on how he’s been killing it. I also would typically do a top 10 power ranking but since I include the Champions in this list I will do a top 15. Let’s get into it!

Top 25 Players Heading into the 2022-23 Season

The NBA season has arrived and we couldn’t be any more excited! So to celebrate we put together a list of our Top 25 NBA Players going into this season. We polled 5 of our sports correspondents and averaged them out. Special thanks to Timbo, Brett, Dylan, and Neely for participating. Our list led to Giannis as the clear number one and the only player in single digits. From there it was close between Jokic, KD, and Steph. Let’s take a look at the list.
